Everything started with a dream. A dream of owning that console. That PC. That one device that could run the games everyone was talking about.
For most of us, gaming started from the other side of the screen. At a friend's house. Waiting for our turn. Watching someone else play because they had the hardware and we didn't.
We memorised the maps. Learnt the cheats. Knew the stories. Sometimes without ever playing the game ourselves. And yet somehow, we still became gamers.
Because being a gamer was never about the device. It was about the desire to play.
